Alameda Health System is seeking a facilities coordination professional to assist in guiding the facilities department activities, maintaining buildings, grounds and related equipment. The role involves working with stationary, utility and apprentice engineers, supporting maintenance programs, safety and code compliance, with opportunity to lead small teams.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant hospital experience; licenses including CFC, medical gas, and CA driver's license
Assists in coordinating the facilities department activities and continuous improvement; assists and directs the activities of stationary engineers, utility engineers and apprentice engineers and lead the activities of maintaining the buildings, grounds and related equipment.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Associate’s degree, some college coursework, trade school certifications.
Required Experience: four years of directly related experience either as a stationary Engineer or related field; and/or one year in a lead or supervisory experience in a medical organization in the operational and maintenance of a hospital or healthcare organization.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Possession of a universal CFC (Chloro-Fluoro-Carbon) Certificate, mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency for servicing refrigeration and air conditioning equipment; 60/40 Medical Gas Certification; valid California Driver’s License.
