Job Description

This role is directly responsible for the overall performance and results of assigned accounts, including executing monthly renewal activities and resolving escalated service concerns. The goal is to improve persistency and client satisfaction by acting as a knowledgeable and responsive resource for designated sales offices, agencies, and employers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Meet and exceed individual and team performance goals to improve lapse rates and client satisfaction.
  2. Foster a sense of urgency and commitment to achieving goals, exceeding customer expectations.
  3. Utilize strong communication, problem-solving skills, and product knowledge to address client questions and concerns.
  4. Partner with local sales offices to identify agency needs, develop relationships, and determine renewal strategies.
  5. Manage time effectively to balance business retention and client service.
  6. Evaluate group performance, understand competition, and provide plan alternatives to assist agents in making informed decisions.
  7. Close sales by building rapport, making recommendations, and overcoming objections.
  8. Develop activity plans for assigned accounts in collaboration with management.
  9. Follow reissue processes and rules.
  10. Identify upsell opportunities, including promoting ancillary products.
  11. Resolve escalated issues using available tools and departmental support.
  12. Understand workflows and business processes to execute service strategies.
  13. Identify and suggest process improvements.
  14. Collaborate with TPA partners.
  15. Stay compliant with all regulations.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Health and Life license or ability to acquire within one month.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Industry experience and 2+ years account management experience.
  • Proactive selling skills and relationship-building ability.
  • Understanding of underwriting risk factors for health insurance profitability.
  • Expertise in group health insurance.
  • Advanced customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and communicate effectively.
  • High initiative, judgment, and self-motivation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented with guidance capabilities.

Compensation
