Job summary

Resuscitation Training Center at UMMC seeks an AHA Instructor to plan, coordinate, and deliver AHA training programs for employees, students, and community members at the Main Campus Jackson.

The part-time position (FTE 22.5%), with day shifts, requires a high school diploma/GED and current AHA BLS, ACLS, or PALS instructor certification within 30 days of hire. Grant-funded benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, or PALS instructor certification required within 30 days post-hire.
• Ability to apply adult learning principles and instructional methods.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Provides simulation training for residents, students, faculty, staff, and community members in AHA courses.
• Acts as knowledge resource for employees, community members, and students.
• Assists in identifying development and training needs to improve care quality.
• Facilitates course files, certifications, and payments in a timely manner.
