Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles is seeking an AGVS Logistics Technician to manage the send/receive rooms and coordinate the Automated Guided Vehicle System in multiple hospital areas.

The role handles large-scale transport of surgical carts, soiled linen, waste, and recyclables, while supporting system operations and incident resolution to ensure smooth dispatch and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and manages the transport of 350 surgical case carts per month.
• Transports and handles 2,875 lbs of soiled linen, trash, and Biohazardous waste across ~31 locations per shift.
• Prepares and recycles ~250 lbs of cardboard per shift across 1st–3rd shifts.
• Supports system operations, helps troubleshoot vehicle maintenance, and monitors traffic flow to ensure efficiency.
• Resolves requests for ADHOC carts and OR packs as needed.

Summary of Essential Duties:

The AGVS Logistics Technician is responsible for collecting soiled linen, retrieving carts and maintaining the send and receive rooms for the Automated Guided Vehicle System in designated areas of the Medical Center.

• Delivers and returns 350 Surgical case carts per month
• Manages the logistical transport of a total of 2,875 lbs. of soiled linen, trash, and Biohazardous waste from approximately 31 locations, including: The North Tower, South Tower, Professional Towers, and Saperstein units per shift
• Transport and prepares for recycling an average of 250 lbs. of cardboard per shift (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

Employees can be trained to do the following Dock Technician or Lead Technician functions:

• Sterilize approximately 1,800 lbs. of biohazardous waste per shift
• Prepares 8,400 lbs. of soiled linen for pick-up
• Assists with system operations, including helping to troubleshoot vehicle maintenance, and monitoring visual systems to ensure seamless traffic flow
• Resolving clinical partner request for ADHOC carts and OR packs
