Job summary

Actalent is hiring a Test Technician in Grand Rapids, MI. The role focuses on testing Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), powering up units, monitoring simulations, and documenting results for engineering review.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of test experience with industrial equipment, and strong ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints, plus proficiency with Excel/Word for test documentation. This on-site role offers contract-to-hire prospects and a daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Test technician experience on industrial equipment or machinery or hydraulics or electrical equipment or mechanisms (2yrs).
• Ability to read electrical schematics (2 yrs).
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Experience documenting tests and results (Using Excel OR Word).

Responsibilities

• Stand up meeting at 7am and receive daily assignments.
• Run tasks and consult the lead if completed.
• Power up and troubleshoot to identify issues before the customer.
• Coordinate with assembly/engineering for support if problems arise.
• Differentiate vendor parts from built parts and report any failures.
• Use computer skills to modify sensor configurations and document results.
• Pre-ship: cleanup, fluids, touch up paint and decals before shipment.
