Under general supervision, the Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)/Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Lead Technician oversees employees performing routine preventative maintenance and immediate repairs. The position manages overall performance of the workgroup and performs a variety of administrative duties.

High School Diploma or equivalent GED required, post-secondary certificate or Associate’s degree preferred. Basic knowledge of computer and internet software. Familiarity with software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic systems is required. Prior management experience is preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Possess, or be willing to obtain, certification to meet OSHA standards.
Ability to exercise excellent communication, organization, time management and listening skills. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of an organization.
Possess basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manual, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Strong decision making skills.

Work is mostly performed in an office setting, however some requirements occur at storerooms and warehouses in the field. Usually works indoors on concrete surfaces and is exposed to drafts, changing temperatures, and loud noise. Travel to site in a vehicle will occur.
Employee will perform work of moderate intensity, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Driving, lifting, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, and walking are required.
