Job summary

Lilly (Eli Lilly and Company) is seeking an Engineer - Automation Engineering (AGV/AMR) to support the Medicine Foundry’s automated material handling systems. The role focuses on leading AGV/AMR fleet management, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring GMP‑compliant operation across manufacturing, warehouse, and utilities.

The engineer will mentor a team of automation professionals, develop project plans, and drive safe, efficient, and scalable automation solutions as the site scales toward full

Qualifications

BS in Engineering, 2+ years in operations/manufacturing with automation exposure
Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis
Experience with AGV/AMR navigation technologies (LiDAR, SLAM, QR guidance) and fleet management is preferred

Responsibilities

Provide automation support for AGV/AMR fleets across manufacturing, warehouse, and utilities
Lead fleet management software design, configuration, testing, and validation
Mentor site leads and system integrators on AGV/AMR deployment and validation
Develop and implement the Automation Engineering Project Plan for AGV/AMR deployment
