Job summary

Hughes Brothers Construction is seeking an AGTEK/CAD Technician to support site development, underground utilities and roadway projects in Central Florida. The role focuses on accurate quantity take-offs, bid preparation assistance, and drawing exhibits for proposals.

The ideal candidate will use AGTEK, AutoCAD, HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam and MS Office to prepare and organize project data while coordinating with Estimating and Project Management teams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficiency with AGTEK, AutoCAD, HCSS, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs for civil construction scopes including earthwork, underground utilities and roadways.
• Assist estimating and project management with proposals, change orders, etc.
• Prepare exhibits and drawings to accompany proposals for bid quantities.
• Create and maintain electronic files and relevant data for project proposals.

The AGTEK/CAD Technician is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely quantity take-offs for site development, underground utility and roadway projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs for civil construction scopes of work including earthwork, underground utilities and roadways.
• Ability to effectively utilize computer software for quantity take-offs and estimate preparation (AGTEK, AutoCAD, HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office).
• Assist the estimating and project management departments with the preparation of project proposals, change orders, etc.
• Prepare exhibits and drawings as needed to include with proposals for backup and clarification of bid quantities.
• Perform clerical duties as needed such as creating and maintaining electronic files, compiling relevant data for use in project proposals, etc.
