Job summary

Frontier Cooperative is seeking a results-driven sales professional in Nebraska to lead growth and manage key agronomy accounts. You will drive revenue, promote a balanced mix of seed, crop protection, and fertilizer products, and develop long-term customer partnerships.

You will cultivate opportunities through proactive outreach, manage a robust pipeline, and collaborate with field teams to deliver outstanding service across the territory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or related field with 2–4 years of sales or agronomy experience.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Working knowledge of agronomy products, crop production practices, and precision agriculture solutions.
  • Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; able to work independently in a results-driven environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Sales growth & business development.
  • Achieve annual sales volume, gross margin, and revenue goals set by leadership.
  • Grow market share by expanding existing accounts and developing new customer relationships.
  • Promote a profitable mix of seed, crop protection, fertilizer, and value-added agronomy services.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend agronomic solutions to improve producer success.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and pursue qualified prospects.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned customers.
  • Build trusted relationships positioning Frontier Cooperative as the customer's agronomy partner.
  • Communicate value of Frontier's products, services, patronage program, and agronomic expertise.
  • Provide timely follow-up on inquiries and service requests.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience that drives loyalty and retention.
  • Execute seasonal sales campaigns, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare pricing, forecasts, and customer recommendations.
  • Utilize Frontier Connect and CRM platforms to manage opportunities and document activity.
  • Engage customers via phone, email, text, social media, and virtual platforms with proactive communication.
  • Partner with agronomy operations, procurement, and other units to ensure service quality.
  • Collaborate with field Agronomy Account Managers and teams to deliver support.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training, and planning sessions.
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
  • Protect confidential information and follow safety policies.

What you'll do:

  • Execute seasonal sales campaigns, promotions, and marketing initiatives
  • Prepare accurate pricing, forecasts, and customer recommendations
  • Utilize Frontier Connect and CRM platforms to manage opportunities and document customer activity
  • Engage customers through phone, email, text, social media, and virtual platforms; maintain proactive communication throughout the sales cycle
Collaboration
  • Partner with agronomy operations, procurement, and other business units to ensure excellent service and execution
  • Collaborate with field Agronomy Account Managers and internal teams to deliver seamless customer support
  • Participate in sales meetings, product training, and business planning sessions
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally
Compliance & safety
  • Protect confidential customer and business information
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures; promote a safe work environment
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, or related field with 2–4 years of sales or agronomy experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
  • Working knowledge of agronomy products, crop production practices, and precision agriculture solutions
  • Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and communication abilities
