Job summary

AgState invites students pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in agriculture to join our internship program in Albert City, IA. This 12‑week paid internship focuses on agronomy, customer interaction, and learning management and operations from experienced teams.

You will conduct field trials, assist with scouting and customer calls, attend meetings, and present your findings. Candidates must have a 2.5 GPA or higher, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in agronomy with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Passion for agriculture and willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to 36 inches.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all AgState safety policies while working safely and efficiently.
• Conduct trials in agronomy, precision farming for corn and soybeans.
• Assist agronomy team in field scouting and customer service calls.
• Learn retail agronomy business, management viewpoints, and attend sales meetings.
• Assist coordination of seed plots for grower plot days.
