Job summary

Landus is seeking an Operations Senior specializing in agronomy to lead and optimize daily processes, align operations with long-term goals, and resolve challenges across our agronomy assets. You will support safety, training, and reliable service to farmer-owners and customers.

Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, managing inventory, overseeing maintenance, and participating in expansion and facility optimization plans.

• Collaborate with leaders to optimize the Agronomy operations area
• Assist in strategic growth and direction planning/analysis
• Maintain and grow agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing and new customers
• Follow Landus policies regarding human resources, grain, agronomy and feed

About the Role

The Operations Senior specializing in agronomy operations is responsible for managing and optimizing operational processes, ensuring alignment between daily operations and long-term strategic goals. This role includes overseeing activities, resolving operational challenges, improving efficiency, and managing agronomy operations and quality. You will also contribute to training efforts and provide exceptional service to our farmer-owners and customers.

What will you do?

• Assist location personnel in logistics, total inventory management, blending, custom application services, and housekeeping.


• Teach and mentor Landus personnel to run safely and effectively.


• Identify and assist in resolving maintenance issues within agronomy assets.


• Ensure assigned locations are accurate in agronomy inventory and quality.


• Participate and provide guidance on annual and multi-year expansion and facility optimization plans.


• Work with the location on all safety and compliance procedures


• Creates & prioritizes a capital project budget for each location


• Collaborate with other leaders in the organization to optimize the Agronomy operations area of the business.


• Assist in strategic growth and direction planning/analysis.


• Maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers, as applicable.

Requirements

Licenses: Must have a Class A CDL with applicable endorsements or be able to obtain one, if applicable to the location. This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in the company’s vehicle safety policy.
