Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Agronomy Associate I to support agronomic operations by applying advanced knowledge, conducting fieldwork, and analyzing soil and crop data.

You will assist with product applications and provide expert technical support to agricultural customers, leveraging precision ag tools and software. The ideal candidate has significant agronomy experience, strong problem‑solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Verifies customers' creditworthiness, provides quotes and terms, prepares sales contracts.
• Develops crop programs with Crop Specialist to track customer plans.
• Schedules product deliveries, soil testing, and field visits to monitor crop health.
• Maintains strong customer relationships with agronomic support and consultations.
• Conducts territory and competitor analyses and stays informed on market trends.
• Uses precision agriculture tools to gather and interpret field data.
• Provides expert advice on planting, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.
