Job description

Agritech Territory Sales Manager California

Our client, an established AgriTech startup, is looking for a highly motivated Territory Manager to lead a dealer network in key growth areas. This is a full-time, direct hire (W2), home office-based role in CA or AZ with frequent travel.

Requirements

  1. 5 years of sales experience within the Agritech Industry.
  2. Experience in developing and executing dealer strategies, including establishing, training, and managing dealer partners in equipment and subscription sales.
  3. Farming knowledge and/or agronomic experience.
  4. Ability to understand customer needs and help dealers understand customer perspectives from both business and technical angles.
  5. Tech-savvy with excellent communication skills: able to demonstrate software products virtually and in person; working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other CRM tools.
  6. Comfortable with travel about 30-50%+ on average, with seasonal spikes.
  7. Spanish skills are a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruit and maintain a strong dealer network in the region.
  2. Assist with onboarding and training new dealers, and support existing ones.
  3. Work with dealers to communicate the value of solutions and set appropriate customer expectations.
  4. Coordinate closely with the R&D team.
  5. Identify new market opportunities and solutions enabled by technology.
  6. Manage travel and schedule effectively while working independently.
