Job summary

City of Fishers Parks Department seeks AgriPark support staff to help maintain grounds and buildings, perform farming and animal husbandry tasks, and assist in education and with volunteers. Position requires some weekend, evening, and holiday hours, up to 29 hours weekly Mar–Nov and 5–15 hours weekly Dec–Feb. This is a supplemental, non-benefited role.

Hourly rate ranges from $15 to $18. Applicants must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and drive a city vehicle with three years of driving

Qualifications

• Experience farming, grounds keeping, landscaping preferred.
• Ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment (saws, drills, grinders, mowers).
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems in a familiar context.
• Must be able to work some weekends and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds including mowing, building, line trimming, etc.
• Perform agricultural, animal husbandry, and maintenance tasks for farm operations.
• Ensure grounds meet City of Fishers Parks & Recreation standards.
• Assist with special projects and volunteers; engage with the public.
