Job summary

Feminist Majority Foundation seeks an Agriculture Project Coordinator to support water quality improvements, climate-smart practices, farmer engagement, and biodiversity efforts in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Natural Resources Management, Sustainability, Agricultural Production, or related field; alternatives considered with relevant experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience working with farmers or landowners on agricultural BMPs.
• 2+ years of professional experience in stakeholder engagement and/or partnership development.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage up to 40 farmer projects concurrently.
• Effective communication in one-on-one and group settings; prompt responses to partner communications.
• Commitment to building relationships with partners and managing next steps promptly.
• Quick learner, well-organized, strong time management; attention to detail.
• Plant identification experience, preferably native and invasive Mid-Atlantic species.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and implementation of agriculture BMPs, primarily focused around south-central Pennsylvania.
• Conduct farmer outreach within Alliance-corporate partnership frameworks.
• Serve as the primary contact for a rolling portfolio of 20-40 concurrently running farm projects.
• Provide direct on-site farm support as needed; vary week to week.
• Coordinate biodiversity planting projects: plan writing, logistics, maintenance, and monitoring.
• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, partner organizations, service providers, contractors, and agencies.
• Manage communications between procurement, contracting, and project management.
• Facilitate meetings and attend conferences as appropriate.
• Oversee components of project budgets; ensure payments, invoices, procurement, reimbursements, reporting are on time.
