Job summary

The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce seeks an Agriculture Market Team Leader to oversee market outreach, development, and coordination across a regional area. You will liaise with County Correspondents and stakeholders to promote Mississippi agriculture and state programs, including Genuine MS® and Dixie National activities.

Ideal candidates will bring a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in agricultural programs, with strong communication and program management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years in agricultural programs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven program management and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with farmers, industries, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a regional County Correspondent, sharing information with farmers and the department.
• Builds and maintains relationships with County Correspondents and stakeholders.
• Plans, coordinates promotional and assistive services for agriculture or agribusiness.
• Represents the department at events (field days, fairs, conferences) as needed.
• Assists in planning Genuine MS®, Farmers Markets, and Dixie National activities.
