Job summary

Foundation for Community Impact & Health Equity in Ridgeway, SC, seeks an Agriculture Technical Assistant & Outreach Provider to support small and mid-sized farmers. You will identify needs, provide technical and financial resource guidance, and help improve farm operations and business practices.

The role involves direct field work with farmers, coordinating educational activities, and documenting outreach and impact for the organization. Travel up to 75% is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with farmers or agricultural communities.
• Ability to organize education and outreach activities.
• Strong documentation and data collection skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one technical assistance to small and mid-sized farmers based on identified farm needs.
• Conduct farm visits, assessments, and follow-up consultations.
• Assist producers with crop and livestock production planning, farm management, and recordkeeping.
• Coordinate, develop, and participate in agricultural meetings, workshops, and field days.
• Build relationships with extension services, USDA agencies, and other agricultural partners.
• Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and program participation.
