Midwest Heritage, a Hy-Vee Company, is seeking an Agricultural Credit Intern to support the credit team by organizing borrower financial data and preparing presentations. The role offers exposure to agricultural lending and market analysis in a fast-paced banking environment.

You will research agricultural market conditions, review farm financial statements, and assist with collateral reviews for lending decisions.

Qualificações

• Junior standing; majoring in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Finance, Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to learn new digital tools.

Responsabilidades

• Help prepare agricultural credit presentations by organizing borrower financial and production information and communicating key findings under the guidance of the credit team.
• Research agricultural market conditions, including commodity prices, production expenses, and industry trends, and develop reports that support lending decisions.
• Assist Credit Analysts with reviewing farm financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow projections to identify financial trends, seasonal borrowing needs, and questions for further review.
• Support the review of agricultural collateral information and contribute to projects that improve pre- and post-closing processes.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Help prepare agricultural credit presentations by organizing borrower financial and production information and communicating key findings under the guidance of the credit team.
• Research agricultural market conditions, including commodity prices, production expenses, and industry trends, and develop reports that support lending decisions.

Work Hours

Ability to work 30-40 hours per week, for a minimum of 10 weeks starting in May.

Education and Experience

Junior standing minimum, majoring in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Finance, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Relevant coursework required.

Minimum GPA of 3.0

Physical Requirements

This position is classified sedentary/light and requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. Visual requirements include ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: sitting for long periods, talking (in person and by telephone), hearing and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

The duties of this position are normally performed in a general office setting. This is a fast-paced work environment. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.
