The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English, and basic computer skills. Seasonal peak periods may require extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Support indoor seed processing and packaging activities including receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, and warehousing seed.
• Assist with outdoor seed production tasks such as planting, pollinating, note taking, data entry, and hand harvest.
• Maintain accurate records and support inventory accuracy using electronic inventory systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas and help troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• In R&D-focused assignments, collect electronic data in field and laboratory settings using PC and handheld data collection devices.

Our client, an agricultural seed production and processing organization is seeking an Agricultural Seed Technician to join their team. As an Agricultural Seed Technician, you will be part of the seed production operations supporting on-site production and processing activities. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Agricultural Seed Technician

Location: Boone, IA

Pay Range: $25

Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

What's the Job?

• Support indoor seed processing and packaging activities including receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, and warehousing seed.

• Assist with outdoor seed production tasks such as planting, pollinating, note taking, data entry, and hand harvest.

• Maintain accurate records and support inventory accuracy using electronic inventory systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas and help troubleshoot equipment as needed.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and/or related experience.

• Ability to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English and perform assigned tasks accurately.

• Ability to adhere to all client SOPs and support site safety requirements.

• Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems may be required.

• Basic mechanical ability/understanding of equipment maintenance (able to operate and troubleshoot equipment) may be required.
