Job summary

Kansas State University is seeking a research support assistant to assist the Cropping Systems agronomist and the crop research team. This on-site role supports data collection, harvesting in field and greenhouse plots, and data entry and analysis under established procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year in agricultural sciences, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year of relevant experience in agricultural sciences.
• Must be 18 years old in order to operate a soil water instrument which contains radioactive material as required by the KSU Radiation Safety Office.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing, maintaining, and collecting research data and harvesting field and greenhouse plots.
• Perform data entry and analysis as per established procedures.
• Maintain lab, greenhouse, and field equipment and assist researchers as needed.
