This position is located in Vineland, NJ as part of the New Jersey State FSA Office in Cumberland County.

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Agricultural Loan Assistant/Specialist, You'll Work Closely With Farm Loan Managers In Administering Farm Loan Programs Within Your Assigned Counties. Following Successful Completion Of The Farm Loan Training Program, Your Duties Will Include:

• Conducting interviews with loan applicants, reviewing loan applications, and making preliminary inquiries to develop factual information that will help assess applicant eligibility.
• Providing technical advice, guidance, and credit counseling to loan applicants and borrowers.
• Servicing all types of agency farm loans within amount of delegated authority.
• Developing knowledge of agency farm loan programs and eligibility requirements to apply that knowledge in applicant assessment.
• Applying technical knowledge of farm financing and credit, financial management concepts and practices, farm operations, land use and value, production and marketing of various crops and livestock, and prices and markets within local serviced farming areas.

This position is designed to work in a developmental capacity, where the incumbents will receive on-the-job and classroom training in the administration of farm loan programs.
