• Engage in projects to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Communicate with growers, landowners, department leads, and other Seneca processing plants.

Agricultural Intern Summer 2026 (Finance)

Seneca Foods is one of North America's leading providers of packaged fruits and vegetables with facilities located throughout the United States. Seneca Foods Corporation of Glencoe, a food production and distribution center located approximately 35 miles southwest of the Twin Cities metro, is currently seeking a Agricultural Interns to join its team for the 2025 production season. This internship is geared toward current/recent undergraduate students and will provide hands‑on industry experience working with the Agriculture Department during the busy production season. Internships typically run from late May through August but are flexible with school schedules.

Qualifications

• Current student in college (no year requirement, 1 year students are encouraged to apply!)
• Background or interest in pursuing a career in Ag Business, Crop/Soil Sciences, or Farm Management

Training/Internship Plan Outline

• Assist field team with planting operations and scheduling
• Skill building in scouting, crop maturity assessment, crop quality assessment, and crop harvesting logistics
• Skill building in team management, training, raw product evaluation and flow, and harvest scheduling
• Opportunities to learn harvest equipment functions and raw product harvesting process
• Develop an understanding of raw product flow including truck routing, product grading, and harvest planning
• Opportunities for projects that compliment your skills and interests to enhance overall productive and reduce costs of the business
• Communication skills with growers, landowners, department leads, and other Seneca processing plants

Both planting and harvest activities require attention 7 days a week; there will be opportunities for overtime as well as time‑off to fit with commitments both for school and personal. There is always something going at Glencoe during the Pack season and you will have many opportunities to learn many things from many people! Starting wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience at $18.54 per hour.
