Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with irrigation specialization.
• Minimum 4 years of experience designing or implementing agricultural irrigation systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for irrigation layouts.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, fluid mechanics and water resource management.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop innovative irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, center pivot) tailored to crop and soil conditions.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new irrigation projects.
• Select irrigation equipment and materials for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and installation guidelines.
• Oversee or advise on installation and commissioning of irrigation systems.
• Develop strategies for optimizing water use efficiency and minimizing water loss.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for existing irrigation systems remotely.

About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of agricultural solutions, is looking for a talented Agricultural Engineer specializing in irrigation systems. This role will be based in Welkom, but offers the flexibility of being fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced irrigation systems for farms across various regions. This involves utilizing the latest technologies in water management, soil moisture monitoring, and automation to ensure efficient water use and maximum crop yield. Your work will directly impact the sustainability and productivity of our clients' agricultural endeavors. You will collaborate with agronomists, farm managers, and technical teams to deliver tailored irrigation solutions that meet specific agricultural needs. Requirements
