Job summary

Jobtailor in Wisconsin (Madison) seeks a Civil/Environmental/Agricultural Engineer to assist in designing and planning agricultural infrastructure, waste transfer/storage systems, and storm water solutions.

You will prepare technical reports and permit applications, support senior engineers with project management, cost estimates, and construction oversight, and collaborate with clients, contractors, and teammates to deliver successful project outcomes while contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering (or related discipline).
• At least two years of engineering experience; agricultural or environmental experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic design principles.
• Experience or interest in HydroCAD or similar storm water modeling software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work independently and in a team.
• Enthusiasm for learning, problem-solving, and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Client-facing experience or ability to build relationships that can lead to new business is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License and Proof of Automobile Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and planning for agricultural infrastructure, waste transfer/storage systems, and storm water solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, plans, and permit applications for submission to regulatory agencies such as WDNR, ACOE, NRCS, DATCP, and local authorities.
• Support senior engineers with project management tasks, cost estimates, and construction oversight.
• Collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Participate in business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and identifying potential project opportunities.
