Job summary

Buchheit Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to run day-to-day grain cleaning facility operations, including loading, unloading, bagging, and equipment operation. You will oversee bagging, inventory, and safety procedures while coordinating labor and maintaining records.

Ideal candidates have production experience and are physically able to lift up to 75 pounds. This role requires effective communication, problem solving, and a commitment to safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate bagging operation system to inspect label, bag, and stack feed products.
• Load bagged feed onto delivery trucks and customer vehicles.
• Inspect and monitor feed quality, weight, and packaging.
• Operate and maintain tow motors, pallet jacks, bagging system, warehouse racks, etc.
• Maintain accurate daily records of bag ingredients, production materials, deliveries, and inventory.
• Keep a clean and organized work area for safety and efficiency.
• Promote a safe working environment at the facility.
• Follow procedures for loading/unloading vans and grain trucks.
• Oversee maintenance and housekeeping at the facility.
• Adhere to loss prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
• Manage schedules of laborers.
• Deliver good customer service in all functions.
• Perform other feed production related duties as needed.

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager's job is to execute the day-to-day operations at the grain cleaning facility including loading, unloading, bagging, and operating equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate bagging operation system to properly inspect label, bag, and stack feed products.
• Load bagged feed onto delivery trucks and customer vehicles.
• Inspect and monitor feed quality, weight, and packaging.
• Operate and maintain the proper working order of tow motors, pallet jacks, bagging system, warehouse racks, etc.
• Maintain accurate daily records regarding bag ingredient and production material/equipment deliveries and bag feed production, inventory, and loading.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area (bagging operation and warehouse) for the purpose of safety, efficiency, and appearance.
• Promote a safe working environment at the facility.
• Maintain facility operating procedures for loading and unloading van trucks and grain trucks.
• Responsible for Maintenance and Housekeeping oversight at the facility.
• Adhere to Loss Prevention, inventory control, and compliance procedures.
• Manage schedules of laborers.
• Deliver good customer service in all job functions.
• Perform other feed production related functions or duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Production or manufacturing industry experience is a plus
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a consecutive basis required
• Previous forklift experience preferred, but not required
• Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and management staff.
• Must possess strong problem solving and math skills to add, subtract, multiple, and divide
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required
