Description

Organization Overview: The Goddard Riverside Community Center (Goddard Riverside) and the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center (Isaacs Center) are well-established Manhattan community agencies supporting services to approximately 30,000 New Yorkers. They focus on children, youth, families, homeless individuals, and older adults across Manhattan and NYC, working towards a fair society where all can improve their lives.

Program Description: Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center (LSNC) is a multigenerational program dedicated to meeting educational, recreational, and cultural aspirations of the Lincoln Square community, especially residents of Amsterdam Houses and Amsterdam Addition. It provides support to over 800 active members, including nutritious meals, wellness programs, educational and arts activities, and social services. The NORC program serves residents aged 60+ in NYCHA developments, promoting aging in place through social services, health promotion, and community engagement.

Position Summary:

The Senior Center Case Manager supports older adults in maintaining independence and dignity, providing individualized case assistance and ensuring access to necessary resources and advocacy to help seniors thrive at home.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week (8 am- 4 pm), with occasional late hours (4-6 pm), once a month weekends for Cooling Center administration (summer only, rotation schedule).

Salary Range:

$48,000 - $52,000

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, gerontology, or related field; MSW preferred.
  • At least two years of experience working with older adults in case management, social services, or healthcare.
  • Fluency in a second language (Spanish, Cantonese/Mandarin, or Russian) preferred.
  • Deep sensitivity to older adults’ needs, strengths, and challenges.
  • Strong work ethic, multitasking ability, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic databases; experience with DFTA Peer Place (STARS) preferred.
Physical & Work Environment:
  • Ability to engage with clients within the senior center and in the community, including travel for home visits and hospital visits.
  • Work environment is a senior center in a NYCHA facility, accessible via elevator.
