DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Aging Care Manager 3, you will be required to maintain an extensive knowledge of Aging policies, procedures, and programs.You will be responsible for assisting SeniorLine staff on completion of benefit applications and their role in maintaining and updating resources for the Intake - Seniorline computer resource database. Work involves scheduling adequate coverage, handling complaints, reviewing cases presented to the Seniorline, as well as pre-screening callers to determine need for assessment. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge concerning aging programs and resources with staff and community groups through educational training presentations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Aging Care Manager 2 or Aging Program Assessor; or
  • One and one-half years of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience; and a bachelor's degree in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes six months of professional human services, law enforcement, or nursing experience.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Allegheny County. If no eligible candidates who live within Allegheny County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
