Job summary

VTG is seeking an Agile System Engineer II in Chantilly, VA. This role bridges mission needs and technical requirements within an Agile framework, delivering system readiness and architecture documentation.

The ideal candidate will decompose requirements into Agile features, maintain traceability, and collaborate with Product Owners to refine backlog priorities and acceptance criteria, while supporting system design reviews and integration planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• TS/SCI with Poly clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead decomposition of operational and system requirements into Agile features and user stories.
• Maintain requirements traceability across backlog, architecture, and verification artifacts.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine backlog priorities and acceptance criteria.
• Support system design reviews, interface coordination, and integration planning.
• Translate stakeholder needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Support verification, validation, and system readiness activities; contribute to CONOPS, architecture artifacts, and system documentation.

Overview

VTG is looking for an Agile System Engineer in Chantilly, VA. Agile System Engineer II independently performs systems engineering functions within an Agile framework, bridging mission needs, technical requirements, and delivery execution.

• Translate stakeholder needs into actionable technical requirements

Do you have what it takes?

• TS/SCI with Poly Required
• Bachelor’s Degree inSystems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 5-9 years of systems engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with system integration, data flows, and external interfaces
• Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent)
