Job summary

Motion Recruitment’s client, a leading professional services and consulting firm, seeks an Agile Project Manager for a fully remote, 5-month W2 contract with benefits. You will manage projects for a pharmaceutical R&D team, monitor timelines and costs, prepare leadership updates, and coordinate planning meetings and workshops.

You’ll apply PMO rigor, support agile ceremonies, and maintain project tools to keep initiatives moving forward. Prior experience with pharma is required.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years’ experience in Project Management.
• Pharma drug development background (Drug Discovery, Pre-Clinical, or wet lab).
• Experience supporting Astellas or early-stage biotech environments.
• Strong PMO skills: analysis, cost tracking, templates, committee-ready presentations, risk tracking, meeting coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of agile projects.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Track progress and ensure alignment with goals and timelines.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting delivery.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and ensure adherence to agile practices.

Job description

Our client, a leading professional services and consulting firm, is hiring an Agile Project Manager! This is a fully remote role!

In this role, you’ll be managing projects for a pharmaceutical R&D team, helping keep projects on track, monitoring timelines, costs, and risks, preparing presentations and project updates for leadership, and coordinating meetings and workshops. You’ll also work with the team on project planning and making sure everything is moving forward smoothly.

Required Skills & Experience

• Project Management – Advanced (6-9 years’ experience)
• Pharma drug development expertise, with a background in Drug Discovery, Pre-Clinical Research, or a wet lab environment
• Experience supporting Astellas or an early-stage biotech
• Strong PMO skills: analytical rigor, business case and cost tracking, templates and committee-ready presentations, maintaining project tools, tracking dependencies and risks, and organizing meetings and workshops

This a 5 month W2 contract with benefits and the possibility of extension!
