Job Summary
The Agile PLM Data Migration Software Engineer will support the end-to-end migration of Item, BOM, Change, AML, and FileVault data from Agile PLM into the cloud-based Oracle Cloud PLM+ platform. The role will support both base migration for full data loads and delta migration for incremental changes, with a focus on accurate data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading. The resource will also support coexistence between legacy Agile PLM and NextGen PLM+ through full cutover.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Agile PLM schemas, including Item, BOM, Change, AML, and FileVault structures, to design accurate data extraction logic
- Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, and SDK-based extraction programs for high-volume objects and revisions
- Perform data profiling, completeness checks, referential integrity validation, and error triage
- Implement revision-based extraction logic to capture complete revision history rather than only the latest revision
- Optimize queries, indexes, and batch processing logic to reduce extraction time and improve data migration throughput
- Extract and manage FileVault attachments, including file paths and metadata, and prepare content for cloud ingestion
- Support staging and transformation activities by delivering clean, structured extract files and tables for downstream transformation and data mapping
- Participate in dry runs and UAT activities, troubleshoot migration failures, and refine extraction logic
- Collaborate with PLM+, DBA, SME, and integration teams to align data mapping, sequencing, extraction, and validation activities
- Support base and delta migration activities to facilitate coexistence between legacy Agile PLM and NextGen PLM+
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and project artifacts
- Develop conceptual and technical design documentation
- Prepare Technical Impact Assessments
- Review and finalize Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Prepare Technical Specifications for RICEFW components, including reports, integrations, customizations, extensions, forms, and workflows
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Agile PLM data migration and data extraction
- Strong understanding of Agile PLM data structures, including Item, BOM, Change, AML, and FileVault
- Experience developing SQL and PL/SQL-based extraction programs
- Experience with Agile PLM SDK or comparable extraction technologies
- Experience with revision-based data extraction and full revision history
- Experience performing data quality validation, profiling, completeness checks, and referential integrity validation
- Experience handling high-volume data extraction and performance optimization
- Experience working with PLM data migration, staging, transformation, and downstream mapping processes
- Experience handling FileVault attachments, file paths, and metadata for migration
- Experience supporting mock migration runs, UAT, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with PLM, database, integration, and business teams
- Strong technical documentation skills, including conceptual and technical designs, impact assessments, BRDs, and technical specifications
