POSITION SUMMARY

The Leidos Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is a new, high-growth organization at the center of the company's technology strategy. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Agile Delivery Lead to drive the successful execution of complex, high-priority projects that span our technical pillars, including AI, Data, Intelligent Automation, and Enterprise Observability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a key member of the Business Operations team, the Agile Delivery Lead will act as a servant leader, empowering cross-functional teams to deliver value efficiently and effectively. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end project lifecycle, facilitating agile ceremonies, clearing obstacles, and ensuring seamless communication between our technical experts and program-level stakeholders. This position reports to the Director of CDAO Business Operations and is critical to translating our strategic vision into tangible results.

  • Agile Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-pillar technology projects using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Demand Scoping & Estimation: Serve as the accountable lead for the 'Discovery in Detail' phase of the CDAO demand management process. In this capacity, facilitate time-boxed technical investigation spikes, partnering with CDAO Transformation Teams to de-risk new requests and produce a realistic assessment of technical effort, complexity, and data feasibility. This role is ultimately accountable for the integrity of the Confidence and Effort scores presented for prioritization.
  • Prioritization & Governance Support: Act as the "voice of delivery" in the Data Analytics Working Group (DAWG) governance meetings. This role is responsible for synthesizing the findings from the Discovery phase and presenting a clear, data-driven delivery analysis for each prioritized initiative. This includes an overview of the estimated effort, a capacity analysis against the team's current commitments, and a transparent summary of key dependencies and technical risks, enabling informed, trade-off-based decision-making.
  • Team Facilitation: Act as a dedicated team lead and facilitator for project teams, guiding them through agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Obstacle Removal & Risk Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate risks, impediments, and dependencies, working across the CDAO to clear the path for the delivery team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary communication bridge between the project teams and CDAO leadership, providing clear and concise updates on project status, velocity, and milestones.
  • Backlog Management: Partner with technical leads and business stakeholders to ensure the project backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion agile best practices and a culture of continuous improvement, using retrospectives and performance metrics to help teams optimize their processes and workflow.
  • Performance Tracking: Manage and report on key project metrics, such as burn-down/burn-up charts, team velocity, and progress toward goals, using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

At Leidos, we don’t want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, "what’s next?" before the dust settles on “what’s now.”

If you’re already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You’ll fit right in.
