Job Description

AEGIS.net, Inc. is currently seeking an Agile Coach that will focus on stepping into existing agile teams and helping them continue to move forward as some personnel transition out.

We are seeking candidates that meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Agile Coaching.
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
• Experience with Agile and traditional software development methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-oriented perspective
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  
  

This role is being offered as a 1099 Independent Contractor role with up to 40 hours a week. The position would start immediately and run through 12/31/2025.

Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:

• Agile Mentoring and Training [provide guidance about Agile principles and Scrum ceremonies, facilitate adoption of Agile practices]
• Agile Team Improvement [facilitate team retrospectives, help identify obstacles, and help team increase collaboration and optimize their effectiveness]
• Support Transition and Continuity [help team re-normalize as some personnel transition out, help team to develop and adapt its processes and re-distribute workload, and help team to reset expectations with stakeholders]
• Public Trust Screening this role requires job seekers to successfully complete a public trust (government background/security) screening. US citizenship is required.
  
  

This is a remote position with occasional on-site meetings in Washington D.C. (local candidates preferred as travel expenses for on-site meetings will not be reimbursed).
