Job summary

Nationwide IT Services, NIS, seeks an experienced Agile Coach to guide delivery teams in adopting agile practices and leading organizational change in digital service delivery. This role may be fully remote within the United States and requires Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach certification or equivalent.

The coach will establish portfolio processes, build an agile culture using lean methodologies, and strengthen governance and visibility into delivery progress while developing staff

Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience directly related to agile coaching duties.
• Experience enabling agile delivery, establishing portfolio processes, and supporting adoption of agile/lean methods.
• Ability to coach and mentor teams and stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and develop staff coaching capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Enable delivery teams to adopt agile practices and perform development activities.
• Establish processes for managing a portfolio of work using agile approaches.
• Drive strategic organizational change to support adoption of agile techniques.
• Embed an agile culture using lean and agile methodologies and frameworks.
• Use coaching, advising, workshops, and mentoring to help teams and stakeholders apply relevant tools and techniques.
• Enable stakeholders to access accurate, current project and program status without disrupting delivery teams.
• Apply tools and techniques to team roles, behaviours, structure, culture, and knowledge transfer.
• Support program management, cross-team coordination, and governance of digital service delivery.
• Ensure key metrics and requirements supporting teams are well defined and maintained.
• Equip staff with the skills to coach others.
• When assigned at the organizational level, coach executives on digital service delivery design.

Position Summary

Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a highly qualified Agile Coach to help delivery teams adopt agile practices and support organizational change in digital service delivery. This is a potential, fully remote role that coaches teams and stakeholders, establishes agile portfolio processes, and builds an agile culture using lean and agile methodologies. The coach strengthens coordination, governance, and visibility into delivery progress while developing staff members’ ability to coach others. The position supports all task areas. This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed an agile culture using techniques from a range of agile and lean methodologies and frameworks.
• Use coaching, advising, workshops, and mentoring to help teams and stakeholders apply relevant tools and techniques.
• Enable stakeholders to access accurate, current project and program status without disrupting delivery teams.
• Apply appropriate tools and techniques to team roles, behaviors, structure, culture, agile ceremonies and practices, and knowledge transfer and sharing.
• Support program management, cross-team coordination, and governance of digital service delivery.
• Ensure that key metrics and requirements supporting teams and delivery are well defined and maintained.
• Equip staff with the skills and ability to coach others.
• When assigned at the organizational level, coach executives on the fundamental considerations of digital service delivery design.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience directly related to the agile coaching duties and responsibilities described above.
• Experience enabling agile delivery, establishing agile portfolio processes, and supporting organizational adoption of agile and lean practices.
• Ability to coach and mentor teams and stakeholders, facilitate workshops, and develop staff members’ coaching capabilities.
• Experience supporting delivery metrics, requirements, status visibility, cross-team coordination, and governance.
• Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach certification or equivalent.

Minimum Education

Undergraduate degree required.

Salary range $180,000 to $215,000 annuallyThe salary range is a general guideline. We consider several factors when determining base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and skills, and current market conditions.
