FMP Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Arlington-based team. The role focuses on using agile methods to define and document business requirements for software solutions, supporting the full SDLC, and working with both federal and private sector clients.

The candidate will analyze processes, build strong cross-functional relationships, and conduct various testing activities to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst.
• Experience soliciting business/functional requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences (oral and written).
• Ability to collaborate across organizational barriers to achieve high-priority goals.
• Experience in the federal environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use agile methods to analyze, define and document business requirements for software solutions.
• Support client digital product needs through all stages of the software development life cycle.
• Analyze and document customer and stakeholder business processes.
• Build trust and rapport with technical and non-technical team members.
• Conduct user acceptance, functional, and regression testing on the system.
• Develop artifacts of the Agile development process, including UI designs and functional documentation.
• Create briefing materials, user guides, functionality demonstrations, and project proposals.
