Job summary

Acuity, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to support a prominent government client in a collaborative environment focused on IT modernization, data enablement, and hyperautomation.

You will elicit and document requirements, support agile Scrum practices, and interact with stakeholders and technical staff to deliver concise user stories and effective solutions. Candidates should have a related IT degree, Agile experience, and strong writing/communication skills; U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with experience in a related Information Technology field.
• Experience in developing requirements.
• Experience writing technical documents.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Able to take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks.
• Able to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and meet internal and client deadlines.
• Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes.
• Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization Agile process life cycle.
• Strong written and communication skills required.
• Must have Agile experience; methodologies and tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar).
• Experience with User Interface designs and mockups.
• Prior experience with building solutions using Microsoft Power Apps or Dynamics , Power Platform, and Power BI is highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with Government clients is highly desirable
• Must have experience in conducting daily stand-up meetings, planning and review sessions, prioritizing tasks and mitigating roadblocks

Responsibilities

• As a Business Analyst, you will support the development team to achieve daily, iteration, and release goals and delivery objectives.
• Elicit, document, communicate, and prioritize business requirements from clients while applying Scrum principles.
• Support and facilitate a team dynamic to maximize performance and improve agile practices.
• Formation and definition of project activities and objectives based on user needs and industry requirements.
• Develops understanding of business needs across multiple stakeholders and product owners.
• Facilitates negotiation of requirements amongst stakeholders, product owner, and project manager.
• Interact with technical staff to define technical solutions to solve business needs.
