Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Skilled Laborer in Elburn, Illinois to support production at our aggregate plant and help build North America’s infrastructure.

You will operate a variety of tools, perform welding repairs, install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and troubleshoot equipment. The role requires willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime, plus OSHA PPE adherence in a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime.
• Must travel around an aggregate plant and climb stairs or ladders.
• Exposure to extreme conditions and PPE requirements.
• Experience with welding and maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of tools and equipment to support production operations.
• Perform installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of portable crushing equipment, conveyors, and industrial machinery.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and PLCs.
• Maintain welding repairs to crushing equipment and assist with setup and repair of machinery.
• Operate machine tools such as drills and grinders to fabricate parts during overhaul or setup.
• Inspect and troubleshoot machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
• Lubricate and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies on all worksites.
