Job summary

CalPortland is seeking an Aggregate Plant Laborer to safely support plant managers, operators, and loaders in maintaining the yard and plant. The role involves cleaning, debris removal, and assisting with maintenance tasks such as greasing and repairs.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and be able to lift heavy loads. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required (commercial preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 95 lbs infrequently and 50 lbs frequently.
• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shovel, sweep, lift and climb within the yard.
• Maintain the yard and plant, keeping it neat and free from debris.
• Assist plant operators with maintenance duties: greasing, repairs.
• Drive company truck to perform duties at other aggregate plants.
• Operate water trucks.
• May be trained to operate forklift, loader, etc.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
