Power & Construction Group, Inc. has an opening for a Laborer with Valley Sand and Gravel!

Salary Range: $17-$21/hr.

Location: Caledonia, NY

Position Summary:

The Laborer will be responsible for the daily maintenance of the production plant, ensuring its optimal functioning and cleanliness. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in supporting plant success through various laborer duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance tasks, including greasing, checking guarding, belt tracking, and cleanup.
• Report any irregularities to the Superintendent promptly.
• Operate loaders and engage in general labor tasks such as shoveling and hand loading.
• Conduct general cleanup of the aggregate plant to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
• Assist in various laborer duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

• Valid Drivers License required.
• Ability to shovel, sweep, lift, and climb within the yard.
• Maintain the yard and plant, ensuring it is neat and free from debris.
• Assist plant operators with maintenance duties, including greasing, plant repairs, etc.
• Operate water trucks and may be trained to operate forklifts, loaders, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

• Any offer of employment is contingent upon passing a DOT Physical, drug screen, background check, and driver’s license check.
• Candidates must maintain passing results throughout the term of employment with P&CG.
