Job summary

The Gerken Companies are hiring an Aggregate Operator at Genoa Limestone, LLC to support daily quarry operations and operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

You will work with bulldozers, excavators, loaders, haul trucks and skid steers, perform routine maintenance, follow MSHA safety procedures, and help maintain a clean, organized site.

Requires high school diploma or equivalent preferred, valid driver’s license with a clean record, and strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, long-reach excavators, loaders, haul trucks, and skid steers.
• Support daily production and site operations across aggregate facilities.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, fueling, cleaning, and inspections.
• Complete equipment inspection and maintenance reports.
• Follow safety procedures and MSHA regulations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work closely with team members to support efficient site operations.

About the Role

We're hiring an Aggregate Operator to support daily quarry operations through the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work with a variety of equipment while developing valuable skills in aggregate production and site operations.

What You'll Do

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, long-reach excavators, loaders, haul trucks, and skid steers
• Support daily production and site operations across aggregate facilities
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing, fueling, cleaning, and inspections

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to safely access and navigate the facility, including climbing and descending ladders
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work outside normal business hours as operational needs require
