Job summary

Lone Star Paving in Central Texas seeks an Aggregate Plant Mining Excavator Operator to support quarry operations from the plant to maintenance. You will work with management and maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize production, handling excavation, loading, and material movement with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The role requires 3+ years in heavy equipment and aggregate knowledge, plus strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation and aggregate industry knowledge.
• Understanding of diagnostics, maintenance, and operation of aggregate quarry machines.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial machinery.
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and stand for extended periods.
• Must be organized with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Positive, friendly and professional demeanor.
• Team-oriented and able to work with others or independently.
• Promote and adhere to the company's safety policy and culture.
• Adhere to safe, responsible work practices and report hazards.

Responsibilities

• Safely and productively operate heavy equipment to excavate and move materials in an aggregate mining environment.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and conduct regular inspections for safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and report safety concerns.
• Collaborate with management and maintenance to address production issues.
• Ensure the work area is neat, clean, and equipment is secured daily.
• Additional duties to support client loyalty as needed.
