Job summary

H&K Group, Inc. is seeking an Aggregate Technician to perform laboratory tests and ensure conformance to specifications for quarried materials. You will operate and calibrate lab equipment, collect samples, and document test results to support quality control and product development.

Experience with sieve analyses and other standard tests is preferred; Level 1 certification is a plus, with training available. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy and timely reporting within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating lab equipment used for aggregate testing.
• Ability to collect and test samples to verify specifications.
• Strong record-keeping of test results and reporting of procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect and test samples of quarried products to verify conformity to specifications.
• Perform tests including sieve analysis, wash test, crush count and unit weight and document results.
• Record test results on standardized forms and prepare test reports describing procedures used.
• Clean laboratory equipment and calibrate laboratory instruments as needed.
• Level 1 certification preferred, but training will be provided if necessary.

Overview

River Asphalt is looking for the ideal Aggregate Technician! An Aggregate Technician performs laboratory tests to determine physical characteristics or composition of solid materials for such purposes as quality control, process control, or product development.

Responsibilities

Essential Abilities, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Sets up, calibrates and operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as fine and coarse aggregate shakers, ovens, washers, balance scales and other equipment.


• Collect and test samples of quarried products to verify conformity to specifications.


• Tests include but are not limited to sieve analysis, wash test, crush count and unit weight.


• Records test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.


• Cleans laboratory equipment. Calibrates laboratory instrument


• Level 1 cert. preferred, but will train if needed.
