EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/LOADER OPERATOR

CARNESVILLE, GA

COMPENSATION: $23-$27/hour, based on experience

SUMMARY

Georgia Stone Products, a Boxley and Summit Materials company, is seeking a safety oriented, experienced, self-motivated Equipment Operator. This position is responsible for the safe and responsible operation of various types of heavy equipment within our quarry. Additional duties may include performing equipment checks, general labor and minor maintenance, as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsibly operating equipment in a safe manner
  • Maintaining mechanical functions of equipment
  • Complying with all Federal, State, and corporate policies
  • Maintaining the neat appearance of equipment
  • Replacing or assisting other workers or operators as needed or directed
  • Following all safety procedures
  • Attending all schedules training sessions and safety meetings
  • Performing other duties as required to maintain an overall smooth and efficient operation or as requested or directed from time to time by management team
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a suitable driving record (MVR), preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside daily/year-round.
  • Sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Safely operate equipment in forward and reverse directions.
  • Respond quickly to hazards or safety concerns.
  • Read, write and understand the English language.
  • Ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
  • Previous Heavy Equipment operation experience, a plus.
