Job summary

CMC Partners is seeking an Area Production Manager to oversee 2-3 sand and gravel sites in California. This newly created leadership role requires a hands-on, field-based leader who can drive safety, reliability, and production growth across multiple aggregate operations.

You will lead a team of about 30 employees, including Plant Managers, partnering with operations to optimize plans, improve performance, and shape long-term strategy while remaining engaged in day-to-day field activities.

Job description

A leading national building materials organization is seeking an experienced Area Production Manager to oversee multiple aggregate operations within its growing West Division.

This is a newly created leadership role designed to provide dedicated operational leadership across 2-3 sand and gravel sites in California.

The Opportunity:

You’ll have oversight of multiple surface mining operations, including wash plants and dry plants, with combined annual production approaching 1 million tons.

You’ll lead a team of approximately 30 employees, including Plant Managers, while partnering closely with operations teams to improve performance, develop production strategies, and support continued growth.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being in the field, close to the operation, and working directly with their teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide operational leadership across 2-3 aggregate sites.
• Lead and develop a team of up to 30 employees.
