Job summary

Kiewit South Central in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Agg Hauler Truck Driver for the Southeast Connector Project. You will operate and transport materials between site locations, following safety and project rules.

The role requires a valid CDL, at least 1 year of driving and Agg Hauler Truck operation experience, night shifts, overtime, and ability to work in a construction environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL required.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
• Minimum 1 year operating an Agg Hauler Truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium to large trucks, transporting materials between company work sites via private roads and public highways.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources and verify routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and report defects or repairs.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding oil, fuel, or fluids.
• Maintain logs of working hours or vehicle maintenance following state and federal regulations.
• Move about a construction/industrial site; able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Work in a construction environment with changing outdoor weather conditions.
• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays as required.
• May use ladders or platforms to access equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet).
• Move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the site.
• Observe and comply with safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Requirements

Additional Information

• Pay Rate: up to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
• Must be available to work night shifts.
• Additional overtime and weekends may be required.
• All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol test.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate medium to large sized trucks, transporting materials between company work sites using private roads and driving on public highways.
• Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections and report any defects, damage, or repairs needed.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or fluids.
• Maintain logs of working hours, or of vehicle maintenance, following applicable state and federal regulations
• The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl
• Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions
• Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required
• May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds
• Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment
• May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required
• Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Project Information

The Southeast Connector project is an interstate widening and reconstruction project designed to alleviate traffic congestion and improve safety. Major construction on the connector is slated for early 2023, with completion planned for 2027.
