Position Overview
This role involves the safe and efficient operation of dump trucks, water trucks, and tractor units (with and without pups, end dumps, belly dumps, lowboys, tanker trailers, and tarping systems). Drivers will potentially deliver any or all types of aggregates, asphalt, water, construction equipment, AC oil, and other materials to residential and commercial locations.
WAGE RANGE
$23 - $27 per hour, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)
- Thorough operational knowledge and skills of dump trucks, water trucks and tractor units.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep time and material records.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Understand different types and sizes of aggregates.
- Understand different types of construction equipment.
- Maneuver and back with trailer.
- Communicate effectively on the radio system.
- Connect and disconnect trailer.

Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with Air Brakes, Tanker, Double/Triples endorsements.
- Valid Medical Card as per DOT standard.
Work Requirements
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Incident‑free driving record preferred.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Pass pre‑employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
- Report to the job site dressed appropriately and ready to work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist with other duties as required.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
Knowledge / Skill Requirements
- Ability to communicate using two‑way radio.
- Basic math.
- Basic electronic device skills.

Physical Requirements
The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50‑75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment
The work environment involves wet or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold or heat; and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
