Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an experienced Agentic Robotics Architect to own how machines plan and orchestrate multi-step work. The Principal Digital Architect will define agentic patterns, planning interfaces, memory and state approaches, connecting to VLA and behavior generation to enable autonomous tasks on real jobsites.

You will lead architecture development, tools integration, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable AI-driven solutions across platforms and industries.

Qualifications

• Experience in agentic AI or robotics planning, task decomposition and deliberative reasoning systems.
• Knowledge of architecture principles and practices for building scalable AI-enabled apps.
• Experience with planning, orchestration of tools, and long-horizon task memory.

Responsibilities
