Job summary

Fountain is seeking a senior data/analytics engineer to design and build agentic development workflows for the data team. You will implement agent-authored models and pipelines, shape context and tooling, and establish CI and guardrails.

You will work with GTM, Finance, Product, and Support to ensure adoption across teams. We value deep SQL skills, production experience with dbt and orchestration tools, and a track record shipping LLM-powered systems in a multi-tenant environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or closely related role; depth matters more than years.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to read call and transform data models.
• Hands-on production experience with dbt and an orchestrator (Dagster preferred).
• Experience shipping agentic or LLM-powered systems to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the agentic development workflow for the data team.
• Implement agent-authored models and pipeline changes.
• Define context and tooling for agents and standards for repeatable work.
• Ensure CI that catches issues in production deployments.
• Maintain guardrails for safe production runs and data governance.
• Collaborate with GTM, Finance, Product, and Support to drive adoption.
