Job summary

Saragossa is seeking an AI Research Scientist (Senior/Staff) to architect agentic infrastructure for scaling e-commerce growth. You will build production systems that autonomously manage creative generation, multi-agent workflows, and cross-platform campaign management.

You will join the Growth team under the Chief Growth Officer, applying expert Python and SQL to deliver revenue-impacting solutions. This is a high-impact IC role with hybrid work in Palo Alto, 3 days per week in-office.

AI Research Scientist (Senior/Staff), Growth - Scaling E-commerce - Up to $240k + Bonus/Equity

You get to architect the agentic infrastructure that runs marketing for a company that just hit a $10 billion valuation.

This is a business that crossed $1 billion in revenue in its sixth year. That's not an accident - it's a company that takes technology seriously and builds its own systems instead of stitching together vendors. You're joining at a moment where the foundation is proven and the mandate is wide open: replace the manual optimization loops with a software layer that autonomously handles creative generation, multi-agent workflows, and cross-platform campaign management.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role, not a management track. You'll have 0-to-1 autonomy to put frontier LLMs and multi-agent frameworks into production financial and operational workflows - writing the service-layer code yourself, building the automated content loops, and owning the decisioning pipelines that shape real ad spend at scale.

You have 4+ years of technical experience, expert-level Python and SQL, and you've operated independently on loosely defined, ambiguous optimization problems without leaning on existing abstraction layers. You've shipped real agentic systems and watched it move real revenue and operational outcomes. Experience with advertising networks, programmatic bidding, or real-time event-driven architectures is a strong plus, as is a background building generative asset platforms in DTC, retail, or e-commerce.

You'll be joining the growth and retention team under the Chief Growth Officer, alongside the existing DS/ML researcher bench - building the systems that keep a 150%-year-over-year business compounding, with real potential to eventually commercialize what you build.

The role is hybrid, so you are in the Palo Alto office 3x / week and have flexibility the rest of the time.
