Job summary

Zeal, an AI-enabled software consultancy, is seeking an Agentic Engineer to deliver production-grade agentic AI systems for Fortune 1000 clients. You will design multi-step agent architectures, integrate with enterprise systems, and implement guardrails and observability to ensure reliability.

You will work with Azure and AWS services, including AKS, Bedrock, Lambda, and AI Search, while applying strong software engineering practices in Python/Java and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building agentic AI systems in production.
• Ability to explain architectural decisions and failures, and to justify tradeoffs.
• Strong foundations in software engineering with experience in Python or Java.
• Experience delivering software in large organizations with security reviews and production governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-step agent systems, including orchestration and tool calling.
• Build integrations between agents and enterprise systems via APIs, MCP servers, and structured tool contracts.
• Design evaluation frameworks, guardrails, grounding checks, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Instrument systems for traceability: actions, model behavior, latency, cost, and reliability.
• Develop state and memory management for long-running workflows and pattern-based reliability.
