In this intermediate-level engineering role, you will contribute directly to the design and implementation of software solutions while collaborating across technology and business teams to deliver real impact. Responsibilities

• Design and develop system enhancements by applying knowledge of application development procedures, scripting tools, and code analysis to deliver effective software solutions.
• Build and support customer-facing systems by collaborating with users, clients, and cross-functional technology teams to identify needs and implement reliable programming solutions.
• Apply programming language fundamentals to translate functional requirements into clear, well-structured design specifications.
• Analyze applications to detect vulnerabilities and security risks, conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure software integrity.
• Identify root causes of technical issues and implement solutions drawn from hands-on engineering experience, resolving problems efficiently and accurately.
• Act as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members, providing guidance and mentoring junior analysts to raise overall team capability.
• Evaluate technical and business decisions with a focus on risk awareness, ensuring that solutions uphold compliance standards and reflect sound engineering judgement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2 or more years of software engineering experience, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of technical deliverables.
• Practical knowledge of application development concepts, programming languages, and software design principles.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, evaluate options, and implement well-reasoned technical solutions.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting requirements in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working within the financial services industry, with an understanding of the regulatory and operational environment in which technology solutions are delivered.
• Familiarity with security analysis practices and vulnerability assessment within enterprise application environments.
• Experience advising or mentoring junior engineers, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.
